Doctor Recommended BoneProtect
Another bone strengthening supplement that caught our eye is Doctor Recommended Bone Protect. This product has a fair amount of 800 mg Calcium as well as Vitamin K2 and Magnesium. This product is designed to maintain bone density, promote blood pressure and support colon health. This product comes in a softgel which uses bovine gelatin which means that unfortunately it is not vegan friendly. We examined the ingredients, reviews and policies of this product so you can decide whether this bone health supplement is the right choice for you.
Is Doctor Recommended BoneProtect Effective?
We like that this manufacturer had the insight to include Vitamin K2 in this product, along with two types of Calcium (Citrate and Carbonate). We believe that this addition is vital since it helps the Calcium absorb directly into the bones where it is of most use. Therefore, we believe that this supplement should be somewhat effective, although there are many more ingredients that could have been added to this formula to assure a higher level of efficacy. We’re not sure why this manufacturer didn’t include Vitamin K1, Boron, Copper, Cissus quadrangularis and BioPerine® to boost bone mass density and promote bioavailability for better absorption and faster results.
We found that the additional ingredients added to this formula, like Hesperidin and Green Tea extract which are helpful for lowering blood sugar are just confusing in a bone strengthening supplement. We’re not sure how they’re significant to boosting bone density and instead this manufacturer should have focused on ingredients that are clinically researched for supporting the bone reformation process and bone strength.
Unfortunately, we did not find so many reviews online either, which made it difficult for us to determine whether or not this product is effective for real customers. We were somewhat surprised that we didn’t find more reviews seeing as this is a relatively cheap product, we would have thought there would be more sales. Nor did we find any satisfaction guarantee offered which also made us question how reliable this product is.
Is Doctor Recommended BoneProtect Safe?
There are no mentioned side effects of taking this product. As with any new supplement or diet introduced into your daily life, we always advise talking to your healthcare professional about possible contraindications of any pre-existing medical conditions or medications that you are taking. Supplements work differently for everyone and the effects vary between individuals so it is always a good idea to run any health changes with a professional.
Summary
We were not convinced by the few reviews we found online for this product that it is guaranteed to work, nor were we impressed that this product does not offer a satisfaction guarantee. It’s important to note that this product is not vegan friendly, which eliminates a large portion of customers. This product appealed to us because it offers an 800 mg daily serving of 2 different types of Calcium, although we believe it could have been more, as well as Vitamin K2 to help direct the Calcium to the bones for effective utilization and absorption. Unfortunately we found that overall, the ingredients included were just not up to par with what is needed to achieve optimal bone strength. There is a strong foundation of ingredients with the Calcium, Vitamin K2, Magnesium and Soy Isoflavones, however without critical additions like Vanadium, Cissus quadrangularis and BioPerine®, this product falls short and therefore is our third choice.
